Intellectually playful, often bored, easily inspired. I am an artist, illustrator, hobby collector, big picture creative, determined scribbler, information junkie, and devoted feminist.

My medium of choice is graphite pencil; to me the process of research, careful arrangement and production is a work of art on its own. I choose my subjects carefully to represent my unique story and each piece is meant to inspire the viewer to his/her individual interpretation or personal nuance.

The contrast of dark and light shading, macabre and cheerful subject matter is a playful take on the extreme ups and downs of our lives, and is meant to inspire bravery and strength instead of hopelessness in times of hardship.

My work is a reminder to be resilient, positive (and perhaps even playful) in times when it feels impossible to do so.
